De laatste tijd ben ik meer met outfits aan het spelen en geloof het ook niet: óok kleurrijke outfits!

Helaas moet ik jullie teleurstellen (of niet), want de outfit van vandaag is alles behalve kleurrijk.

Vandaag laat ik jullie namelijk zien hoe je de "Monochrome" look gemakkelijk kunt stylen. Benieuwd? Lees dan gauw verder!

ENG | I've been busy with creating a lot of new outfits for myself lately, and believe it or not: but this time I also tried to create all kind of "colorful" outfits!

Unfortunately (or not), that's not what i'm going to show you guys today.. Today I will show you how you can style a "Monochrome" look without looking basic. Want to know more about that? Keep reading then!

Voor we beginnen: Wat is "Monochrome" ?

Monochrome is een manier van kleden, waarbij je het heel simpel houdt, maar er niet simpel uitziet. Dit is een trend die zich al een tijdje bezig houdt, vooral onder alle fashion bloggers. Je ziet er o.a veel zwart en wit in terug, maar zoals ik al zei: je ziet er fashionable uit en totaaaal niet basic!

ENG | Before we get started.. What is "Monochrome" ?

Monochrome is a way of dressing, without looking basic. It's a (new) trend nowadays, especially worn and styled by many fashion bloggers (and of course, other people too). The "Monochrome" outfits contain a lot of black and white in it, but as I said: without looking basic at all! That's exactly what you want, right?

Ik ontving afgelopen week een heel leuk pakketje van de webshop Straatstijl. Ik mocht een paar leuke dingen uitzoeken en omdat ik toch in het Monochrome thema wilde blijven, koos ik ook items die mij daarbij konden helpen.

ENG | I received a nice package from the webshop Straatstijl this week and because I wanted to stay in the "Monochromic" vibe, I chose some items that would help me to spice up my outfit a little bit.

Zien jullie trouwens ook een verschil? Geen saaie muur foto's, maar een mooie achtergrond? Yup! Ik probeer dit namelijk vanaf nu een beetje af te wisselen voor jullie, zodat er ook nog wat plezier blijft in het lezen van mijn blog artikelen..

Anyways, ik koos voor een gestreepte off shoulder top die ook van het merk Straatstijl is. Ik vind dat je zelf nooit de fout in kan gaan met streepjes, en al helemaal niet als het ook nog cropped én off shoulder is!

ENG | Have you seen the difference I created for you guys? Instead of making "wall" pictures, I tried to make some good pics with a nice background.. I'm not saying that I will do this all-the-time, cause I need someone to shoot me though (thank to the bf!), but I will try to take more pictures with nice backgrounds every once in a while!

Anyways, I have chosen for a striped off shoulder top that also is from the Dutch brand Straatstijl. I think that you can never go wrong with stripes and especially not when they have cute details: this top is not only cropped, but also off shoulder!

Verder vond ik de top leuk om te combineren met mijn witte, high waisted jeans die scheurtjes in de knieën heeft. Dit voegt er een edgy twist aan toe, en daar houd ik zelf heel erg van!

ENG | I combinated the off shoulder top with a white, high waisted, ripped jeans from Missguided. This gives the look a more edgy twist, and I love that!

Ook mocht ik twee leuke zonnebrillen uitkiezen en koos ik voor een simpele, maar ook een hele opvallende zonnebril.

ENG | I also chose two sunglasses to finish my look with: a simple black one, and a simple, but really eye-catching, golden one.
